What are Dark Circles and Why do they Occur
Dark circles are caused by several factors including genetics, age, hormones, pregnancy, illness, and medications. Dark circles can appear under the eyes due to lack of sleep, dehydration, poor circulation, sun exposure, smoking, alcohol consumption, and allergies. There are many treatments for dark circles, but they do not work well if the cause is unknown.
1. Dark Circles
Dark circles are caused by lack of exposure to sunlight. If you have dark circles under your eyes, then you need to get out of the house and go outside! Sunlight helps our bodies produce vitamin D, which is necessary for good skin health. Vitamin D is also known to help prevent cancer and boost immunity.
2. Dry Skin
Dry skin is often caused by not using enough moisturizer. Moisturizing your face and body is extremely important to keep your skin looking fresh and youthful. You should use a moisturizer at least twice daily.
3. Under Eye Bags
Under eye bags are caused by puffiness around the eyes. Puffiness around the eyes is caused by dehydration. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day will help flush toxins from your system and keep your body hydrated.
4. Dull Hair
If your hair looks dull, then you may want to consider getting a haircut. A haircut will make your hair look healthier and shinier.
5. Acne
Acne is caused by clogged pores. Clogged pores can be caused by dirt buildup, dead skin cells, oil production, and bacteria. To cleanse your pores, wash your face with warm water and a mild cleanser. Then pat dry with a towel. Follow up with a toner, followed by a moisturizer.
6. Wrinkles
Wrinkles are caused by sun damage. Exposure to the sun causes the collagen fibers in your skin to break down. When these fibers break down, they cause wrinkles. Try to limit your time spent in direct sunlight. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing if you plan on spending long hours outside.
7. Age Spots
Age spots are caused by sun damage over time. As we age, our skin becomes thinner and less elastic. This makes us more susceptible to developing age spots. Avoid overexposure to the sun and try to stay indoors whenever possible.
